Operations
Operating Bahama Bay will require a staff of people to serve as life guards, customer service personnel, food servers, mechanical specialists and staff, office personnel, and the management team for just the water park alone. It is expected that many of these employees will be found from local college and high school students. We anticipate creating approximately 150 new jobs for the Tri-Cities from just the water park.
The hotel with indoor water park will require standard hotel operations plus specialists to allow for a smooth functioning water park. These would include engineers and maintenance as well as life guards and staff.
Some of the suppliers for waterslides and attractions may include Whitewater West, Proslide Technology, and Family Fun Pools to design and build the lazy rivers and lagoon, Rain Drop Products for children’s splash areas, and Wave Loch, the creators of the FlowRider sheet wave attraction to name just a few. These are some of the best and most respected suppliers in the industry and around the world.
Facilities will require pump houses, mechanical structures, and an administration building. Of course changing rooms and lockers will be provided and very well maintained in security and cleanliness.
